Non clogging straight tube hydraulic suction

Enviroquip® Rapid Sludge Removal Clarifier

Enviroquip Rapid Sludge Removal Clarifiers are high rate suction clarifiers featuring non-clogging straight tubes and are among the highest-performing scum removal clarifiers.

Enviroquip Rapid Sludge Removal Clarifiers capture 95 percent of scum inside the influent well and is highly resistant thanks to its straight tube design. Also, its unique sludgeViewR® located on the top of the tanks allows for easy maintenance and inspection.

The combination of our drive mechanism, scum handling solution and maintenance features make it one of the most operator friendly clarifier solutions.

  • Straight tube designs are highly resistant to rags, hair and debris while allowing easier operation and inspection.
  • Individual sludge tubes can be cleaned from above without draining the basin.
  • Our precision bearing drive mechanism is easily maintained.
  • Our solution provides a higher return sludge rate and its mechanism is capable of handling 200 percent of the average flow. Capturing 95 percent of scum inside the influent well, the remaining foam returning to process basin quickly to help stringent nutrient effluent limits.
  • The rapid sludge removal clarifier comes standard equipped with our unique Jackbolt™ drive with precision bearing drive, which allows replacement of all drive components without having to drain the tank. The precision has higher torque, higher hanging weight and longer bearing life.

Octagonal Flocculation baffles provide:

  • Inlet current reduction
  • Inlet flow redirection
  • Improves scum collection
  • Enhanced mixed liquor flocculation for improved settling rates

The Enviroquip Rapid Sludge Removal Clarifier is unlike any other clarifier.

  • Sludge is drawn from the floor using straight tubes, going directly into SludgeViewr troughs, which display the amount of sludge return from each tube.
  • The SludgeViewr return activated sludge (RAS) troughs allow operators to view the sludge from each sludge tube, allowing for easy sampling and ensuring pumping rates are as required.

The Enviroquip Rapid Sludge Removal Clarifier is a hydraulic suction type clarifier that maintains a low sludge blanket to:

  • Keep the sludge fresh
  • Eliminate the worry of floating, nitrified sludge

SludgeViewr troughs draw sludge directly from the tank bottom through straight tubes by hydraulic differential, eliminating the need for flow control devices by providing balanced sludge removal.

Ovivo’s octagonal flocculation baffles, mounted to the inlet well, deflect the flow of influent upwards inside the influent well. This increases the flocculation inside the influent and prevents short circuit between flocculation zone and settling zone.

Our exclusive ScumTrappR™ design ensures that 95% of the scum is collected inside the influent well, eliminating the need for scum to travel the across the entire clarifier, providing a cleaner surface. The collected scum can be discharged through a separate pipe in the centre pier or out along the bridge via a small submersible pump or combined with RAS for further treatment. This gives plant owners the option of removing scum and gross inorganic floatables at the source and returning them to the process aeration or removing them from the process flow train via the digester. The remaining biological scum or floating sludge (approximately 5%) that does surface outside the influent well is collected through the scum ports on the RAS trough and returned with the activated sludge for further treatment.
