Cembrane’s NSF-419 Certification: A New Benchmark Towards Excellence
Ovivo is thrilled to announce a significant milestone: Cembrane has achieved NSF-419 certification for our SiCBlox ceramic membranes. This certification underscores our commitment to excellence, innovation, and ensuring safe drinking water for all.
The NSF/ANSI 419 standard focuses on public drinking water equipment performance – filtration. It evaluates the efficiency of filtration devices in removing microorganisms, particularly Cryptosporidium. This microscopic parasite can pose health risks, and our certified equipment ensures its effective removal.
Our certified products have undergone rigorous testing, resulting in the remarkable log removal value (LRV): 4.22 at 425 LMH. This translates to our membranes removing >99.99% of microorganisms larger than 3µm.
This certification is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, led by Niklas Andreassen (CTO), with support from engineers Henriette Binderup, and Sisse Reichhardt.
Our Commitment to Clean Water and a Sustainable Future
Our teams at Cembrane are dedicated to providing high-quality, reliable, and safe water solutions. This certification reinforces the mission to make a positive impact on global water quality. For more information, you can refer to this article.
In addition to ensuring safe drinking water, our NSF-419-certified membranes also contribute to substantial water savings. Every glass of safe, clean drinking water produced by SiC has a smaller carbon footprint compared to polymeric membranes*. Lastly, they reduce the use of chemicals and lower the overall production cost, making our solutions both economically and environmentally sustainable.
