Aerobic Treatment / Nutrient Removal

Aerobic wastewater treatment is an extremely cost and energy efficient process for removal of BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand). In the presence of oxygen, the organisms feed on complex materials present in wastewater and convert them into simpler substances. Wastewater also contains high levels of nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus. Nitrogen is typically removed through biological oxidation whereas Phosphorus, biologically, or relying on chemical precipitation.

Diffused Aeration

Aerobic Treatment and Nutrient Removal processes rely on the presence of oxygen for the removal of BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) or the oxydation of nutrients.

Integrated fixed-film activated sludge (IFAS) systems consist of a submerged, fixed-bed media, which promotes attached growth biomass for wastewater treatment.

Nitrate Removal

Ovivo offers ion-exchange nitrate removal solutions for the potable water industry which are highly efficient, high rate and generate low waste.

Phosphorus Removal / Recovery

Ovivo® Digestivore Sidestream Treatment Systems allow wastewater plants to remove ammonia present in sidestream generated by dewatering equipment.

Trickling Filter

Rotary distributor mechanisms distribute sewage water evenly over a trickling filter.
