PRESS RELEASE, MONTREAL, OCTOBER 18, 2021

Ovivo Inc. (“Ovivo”) and the One Drop™ Foundation announce their new partnership today, with an aim to improve safe water access in regions affected by the global water crisis. In a joint effort designed to empower people to build a better future for themselves and others, Ovivo will provide support to the One Drop Foundation, an international philanthropic organization with projects in 12 countries, with the mission of ensuring that communities have sustainable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

“As a global provider of equipment, technology, and systems that produce some of the purest water and treat some of the most challenging wastewater in the world, our vision is to be the preferred partner for those who value water as much as we do, like the One Drop Foundation, and we are proud to help fund their essential water projects. We believe that One Drop’s United Nations-recognized innovative creativity and unique Social Art for Behaviour Change™ (SABC) approach will inspire, activate, and sustain healthy practices that are conducive to improved hygiene and effective water service management,” says Marc Barbeau, President and CEO of Ovivo.

Jean-Louis Dufresne, CEO of the One Drop Foundation, is equally proud: “We are honoured to welcome Ovivo as our newest corporate partner. By partnering with world-leading companies that, like Ovivo, share our deep commitment to sustainable access to safe water, our foundation can reach the greatest number of communities possible. Beyond providing access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene infrastructure, this partnership will also help ensure that communities are better equipped to adopt healthy behaviours and face global health challenges—both during a pandemic such as COVID-19, and afterwards.”

As two like-minded, Canadian-based organizations, Ovivo and the One Drop Foundation will also work together to promote the value of safe and accessible water, starting with an employee-centric program with an objective to increase awareness and engagement around global water-related challenges that have an impact on health, education, and human and economic development. Both organizations believe this new partnership can inspire other leaders—both inside and outside Ovivo’s ecosystem—to partner with the One Drop Foundation and make the world a better place.

By supporting the One Drop Foundation, which focuses on access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene services in addition to promoting healthy behaviours, Ovivo’s contribution will increase awareness around water issues and help to positively transform hundreds of thousands of lives around the world, thus contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
