Ovivo Inc. (\u201cOvivo\u201d), a global provider of water treatment equipment, technology and systems, is pleased to announce the conclusion of an exclusive licensing arrangement with Paques B.V. (\u201cPaques\u201d) for their ANAMMOX technology for the municipal market in USA and Canada.\u00a0 This revolutionary technology, for the efficient removal of ammonia from wastewater, uses a biological anaerobic ammonium oxidation process to convert ammonium and nitrite to nitrogen gas using the Anammox bacteria. The agreement will be signed on Monday, September 26th, at 9:45 a.m., during the Water Environment Federation\u2019s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (\u201cWEFTEC\u201d) in New Orleans, at Ovivo\u2019s booth #2729.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ANAMMOX technology can reduce the aeration energy requirements by 60% and can completely eliminate any supplemental organic carbon requirements.\u00a0 This can lead to substantial savings in operational costs for wastewater treatment facilities. The ANAMMOX technology will leverage Paques\u2019 years of research and innovation on this proprietary concept as well as Ovivo\u2019s decades of experience with sludge stabilization and biological nutrient removal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n
