There are many small businesses within the metal plating industry who share one thing in common. This is the treatment of their wastewater, particularly where ion exchange is part of their process. In most cases, smaller businesses are unable to justify the expenditure for a permanent installation because they do not have the land space or flows and demand. However, the problem remains how to effectively manage wastewater. Ovivo have developed the REMA® system. A unique solution which can be integrated into a plant’s production process to treat wastewater using ion exchangers, wherever it is generated. The more demanding and complex regeneration and disposal is then carried out at our or another local regeneration facility. Ovivo takes care of the logistics for you, ensuring timely delivery within precise schedules.
A REMA system requires only a small initial investment and incurs calculable operating costs. The REMA units are delivered ready for connection and operation and is simple and virtually man less. The system is extremely compact and requires little space.

Potable Water Treatment
Ovivo offers different potable water treatments to desalinate seawater. Desalination is an energy-intense activity, so Ovivo’s thermal processes harness excess thermal energy to drive the desalination process, or alternatively use reverse osmosis membrane technology.
International Maritime Organization standards require more and more vessels to carry wastewater equipment. Ovivo’s compact, efficient systems can be installed with minimum impact on the limited space available. They produce clean water to the most rigorous standards.

Drinking water units
Ovivo’s drinking water units are made to individual specifications and are robustly designed to cope with rough landing conditions and varying feed water qualities. Reverse osmosis technology removes most contaminants including dissolved solids and micro-organisms.

Membrane Bioreactor (MBR)
MBR systems commonly supplied by Ovivo can be connected to ablution and kitchen wastewater discharge points easily, enabling safe containment of effluent to its final point of discharge after treatment. They are compact, simple and robust, requiring minimal operator intervention and maintenance.
Submerged Aerated Filter (SAF)
Ovivo SAF systems reduce the risk of nuisance odors and waterborne disease. Containerized units are supplied in standard twenty-foot ISO containers. Non-containerized tanks incorporate lifting points for easy loading and off-loading from flatbed transporters and are sized for transportation in C130 aircraft. The Copa® SAF unit has a proven performance record supported by almost twenty years of development and deployment throughout the world.
Temporary military or work camps require water and wastewater management technologies that are highly mobile.
