Reclaim Systems

Reclaim : The capture, reuse or recycling of water that would normally go to waste.

Water reclamation is the process by which domestic and industrial process wastewater (such as that from: the Metal Treatment & Automotive and the Semiconductor industries) is treated to remove solids and impurities and cleaned using biological and chemical treatments so that the water could be returned to the environment to augment the natural systems from which it came. It could be used as an aquifer and supply-stream enhancement strategy and in landscaping irrigation. This is done for sustainability and water conservation, instead of discharging treated wastewater.

 

Specialist Recovery Technology

For reasons of water management efficiency or environmental regulation, wastewater is expelled from processes much less frequently. So unwanted substances remain in metal processes and their removal is necessary to optimize continuing operational efficiency.

Vacuum Evaporator Systems

A final neutralization removes chlorides and organic components so that metallic copper can be removed from the wastewater by means of an electrolytic cell plate. 

 

Nickel recycling

Nickel ions from chloric and sulfatic rinse water are concentrated using a special ion exchanger with high capacity. Water is discharged nickel-free.

Electrochemical Methods

Recycling applications with ion exchangers include the removal of Fe/Cr-III from chrome-plating electrolytes and the removal of aluminum from anodizing baths by means of retardation systems.

Electrolysis cells are used for the recovery of valuable substances from solutions containing metal ions, such as gold, silver, copper and nickel. The anodic oxidation of substances such as cyanides and complexing agents in wastewater simplifies further treatment.

Membrane Technology

The regenerated effluent is free of chlorides and organic components. Due to its high copper content it is possible to recover economic metallic copper by means of a plate electrolytic cell.
