Process Water Treatment

Water is a vital ingredient to many industrial users. It is often much more than a method of cooling, a method of raising steam or a transport or cleaning medium; it is a vital constituent of the process or product being produced.

Process water is defined as the water used in manufacturing processes within the Desalination (municipal & industrial), Energy, Food & Beverage, Metal Treatment & Automotive, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Photovoltaic, Potable Water, Pulp & Paper and Semiconductor industries.

Our Solution

Process-related water treatment problems can be solved using a variety of treatment technologies. At Ovivo, we partner each of our clients in order to develop totally customized process water treatment solutions to meet their needs.

Today’s global requirements to decrease water consumption mean that demands are made for improvements to water management, especially in industrial processes. Ovivo’s state-of-the-art solutions and our significant global experience across many industries enable us to respond to these global challenges.

In many of these processes, it is vital to control certain constituents in order to affect flavour, the aggressiveness of the water, its tendency to form scale or shelf life. Some of the constituents we manage are:

  • Alkalinity
  • Dissolved salts
  • Organic content
  • Particulates
  • Bacterial contamination
  • Presence of oxidising agents

Ovivo have a number of processes that ensure reliable and effective production of process water, to ensure that the water produced is of consistent and reliable quality.

How it Works

Water must be regarded as any other constituent it may have specifications for specific constituents and if it contains too much or too little of these constituents it will be out of specification and as such cause problems in the process.
