Enviroquip®, Inc. was founded in 1966 to design and supply a wide range of superior equipment for water pollution control, advanced waste treatment, water treatment and sludge handling. Enviroquip developed Aeration products and processes to meet the specific requirement of Aerobic Digestion and holds a number of patents in the area. The Clarifier Group featured customized, high performance clarifiers, both circular and rectangular designs. These clarifiers are specifically designed to return sludge rapidly to the aeration basin and to eliminate problems associated with scum accumulation.

In 2001, Enviroquip® partnered with the Kubota® Corporation and brought to market the Enviroquip®MBR System (now the Ovivo®MBR System).  Since commissioning the first (.125 MGD) plant at Bandon Dunes, Ovivo now has 247 MBRs in the U.S with a combined capacity exceeding 150 MGD.  Construction is now underway on one of the world’s largest MBRs in Canton, OH.  With a rated capacity of 42 MGD, the Ovivo®MBR System at Canton has set a new bar in the industry.

Over the years Enviroquip built a reputation for providing quality equipment, backed by a high level of process support. Process calculations, specifications and drawings are provided to consulting engineers during the initial design stages of the project ensuring that there is a seamless integration between Enviroquip’s equipment and the overall plant design.

In 2006, Enviroquip was purchased by Eimco Water Technologies and then merged into Ovivo Water in 2010.  Its process technologies continue to be highly recognized in the water and wastewater treatment industries today.

Core Technology Page
At the heart of Enviroquip® aerobic digestion products is our non-clogging single drop diffused aeration technology.  Our 2-inch MS and 1-inch TransMAX diffusers eliminate clogging by separating the air metering orifice from the diffuser and locating the orifice above the basin liquid level.  Thus, no liquids or solids ever come in contact with the orifice restriction, the point at which most other diffusers frequently clog.  Over the past 40 years our diffusers have set the industry standard for exceptional quality and service with over 600 successful installation in the U.S.

TAD™ Processes (Thickened Aerobic Digestion)

Another patented Enviroquip process is the TAD™ (Thickened Aerobic Digestion) which is a controlled aerobic digestion system specifically designed to handle thickened sludge and meet Class B requirements for pathogens and vector attraction.

There are three different PAD approaches depending on the thickening technology being employed:

IMG_0537The patented G-TAD Process (Thickened Aerobic Digestion) using a Gravity Thickener provides integrated operation of a gravity sludge thickener and two or more aerobic digesters. By operating these units as a combined system, improved treatment is acheived.

  • Increased solids concentration in gravity thickener

Enviroquip® M-TAD™ (Previously PAD-M)

Paris trip 007The Enviroquip M-TAD (Thickened Aerobic Digestion) using Mechanical Thickening technology is a controlled aerobic digestion system specifically designed to handle sludges produced by mechanical thickeners such as gravity belts or rotary drums.  The M-TAD utilized two or more aerobic digesters to optimize aeration requirements, helping to keep equipment costs to a minimum.  The M-TAD overcomes mixing and aeration problems with equipment designed specifically to handle viscous sludge up to 5% TS

Enviroquip Mem-TAD Process (Thickened Aerobic Digestion technology using flat sheet membranes) process brings together’s Ovivo’s aerobic digestion and flat sheet membrane experience into one integrated system.  This combination provides owners with a truly revolutionary solids handling technology.

The system consists of two or more aerobic digesters operating in conjunction with an anoxic basin and membrane thickener (MBT).  One aerobic digester forms a recycle loop with the MBT and anoxic basin that causes the digested sludge to be continuously thickened while undergoing both nitrification and denitrification.

211_p_img_1-300x225stormBLOX™: It is a physical-chemical (P/C) treatment process that treats raw influent to full permit in MBR plants less than 5 MGD in size and with peak flows in excess of 3Q.  Excess flows greater than the design maximum are sent to the stormBLOX system where it is cost effectively treated.  stormBLOX plants can also serve as reliable emergency flow management in the event of biological process upsets.
